Project Value:
£100m
Summary:
We’re really excited to share that we have secured RM planning at the former MG works site in Longbridge, for our client Countryside Partnerships.
This prominent scheme will deliver 688 new homes for local people, 250 of which will be affordable homes (social rent and shared ownership) and a further 26 First Homes, an additional 215 homes for private rent and 197 Open Market properties, all set within nearly 5ha of connected public open space with numerous play areas, a large public square and new community/commercial buildings. We have retained a number of the existing buildings, including the Rover International Headquarters, which will become a mixed-use business space.
The approval was granted within *16 weeks* of submission, and whilst it was very ambitious for the scale of the project, the dedication of the team was such that we got this one over the line in such a short time frame despite the challenges!
This has been a technically complex project, and we’re excited to see it come to fruition.
