Located in a heritage setting, the Warstone Lane site sits within the wider ‘Industrial Fringe’ character area of the internationally significant Jewellery Quarter Conservation Area, Birmingham.
The site is confined in its rear extremities by existing industrial workings and factories, whilst numerous listed buildings form boundaries and abutments to the site. The area is a highly dense mix of small and medium size enterprise’s still working in the manufacture of jewellery.
The high proportion of significant Victorian manufactures display specific characteristics in form, scale and architectural language that are highly unique to the location.
