Architects car park turns into pop-up beer garden

24th September 2020

This pandemic has changed us all. It’s changed the world and the way we live forever. So much has been taken from us over the past 6 months and we have had our eyes opened to see what really is important. The need for togetherness is one good thing to come of this, realising the importance of our connections, whether they are with family, friends or neighbours and how giving really is as important as receiving.

It’s been so great to get to know our neighbours better over the past few months. The team at the Windmill pub next door (the oldest pub in Coventry dating back to 1451!) have utilised our carpark space as a pop-up beer garden transforming it into a vibrant and lively spot with people enjoying good food and real ales.

Michelle the Land Lady said:

‘We can’t thank IDP enough for allowing us the use of their carpark over the past few months, it’s been a game changer for us. In these incredibly difficult times knowing our neighbours are supporting and helping us to keep going has meant the absolute world, and I know we are in a much stronger position because of their kindness.’

We hope the outdoor beer garden will continue to be a great help to Michelle, her staff and customers, and will provide a future for the business and see them through this difficult time.
